Yielding Metallics

Fibre and yarn
Source BCI, GOTS-certified cotton, GRS-certified recycled pre-and post-consumer waste fibre, Tencel, modal and spandex.
Construction and finish
Embrace soft industrial metallic shades of silver, gold and champagne gold. Create surface sheen through yarn or finish. Play with High Shine and Muted Shine finishes and work with bio and water-based coatings to support onward recycling.
Develop 3/1 twill constructions in weights of 8-12oz, exploring lighter shirting weights for denim separates.
Frozen Surfaces
Icy surfaces, frozen and thawed states and crystallised effects add a wintery patina to denim bases.
Design strategies
Update denim Matching Sets with eroded suede-like effects that mimic the patterns of frozen water and feature high-low contrasts.
Fibre and yarn
Source regenerative, BCI, GOTS-certified and GRS/RCS recycled cotton and GRS-certified polyester with a touch of biodegradable stretch or recycled elastane if needed.
Construction and finish
Recreate wintry finishes through jacquards, digital printing or laser finishing. Use slubbed yarns and cross-hatch weaves that reveal texture in the wash down, adding denim character. Experiment with contrasting colour wefts to add depth to high-low contrasts.
