Everyday Quilting
Enhance everyday denim essentials for winter with refined lightweight quilting, providing trans-seasonal options that offer increased longevity and value.

Design strategy:
Enhance denim pieces, such as shirts, trousers, and transitional outerwear, with lightweight linings featuring abstract quilting designs for a fresh look.
Fibre and yarn:
For a soft texture, use BCI and GOTS-certified organic cotton, GRS/RCS recycled cotton, GRS/RCS-certified polyester, and FSC-certified lyocell
Construction and finish:
Develop the Pillow Padding theme from last season by emphasizing lightweight liner paddings with updated abstract geometric patterns
Experiment with size and scale, using tone-on-tone threads to enhance commercial appeal
Diamond and wave patterns remain perpetually attractive, and brushed-back finishes offer warmth during winter
We spotlight Le Jean Recyclé – Denim Pad by Imbotex Srl, a soft, breathable, and environmentally friendly recycled insulation made from post-industrial denim waste
Reclaiming Imperfection
Celebrate the beauty in accidental mistakes and the perfectly imperfect to create off-beat design details.

Design strategies:
Accept the imperfections and flaws in the design, laundry, and post-laundry process, such as shadow patches, naturally sun-faded effects, and bleached denim imperfections
Fibre and yarn:
Utilize regenerative, BCI, GOTS-certified organic, and GRS/RCS recycled cotton
Combine with banana, hemp, or traceable linen
Construction and finish:
Embrace what is typically seen as an imperfection in a garment
We spotlight Cone Denim’s Pinto denim, developed in 1969 following a local downpour that flooded the White Oak factory, soaking millions of yards of denim
Rather than discarding the drenched denim, the company processed it with a solution to randomly strip the dye, resulting in a mottled and faded look
